Krohn Colheita 2007 has an aroma of matured fruit, caramel, mocha and raisins. Wonderfully soft in the mouth, elegant and silky in texture with a beautifully balanced acidity, more dried fruit, a hint of vanilla and spicy notes of cinnamon and a hint of cardamom. Remarkable refinement and taste, very expressive and a great freshness. A long intense aftertaste.

Fermentation in open granite tanks called 'lagares', where the grapes are trodden by foot. Fermentation is interrupted by the addition of grape spirit to preserve a certain degree of natural sweetness. All ageing is done in 547 litre oak barrels (the traditional 'pipe') and larger casks. The Port spends at least 10 years maturing in wood, before being bottled, unfiltered.
