Mild and humid year with a cold and rainy summer. The autumn started with high temperatures, which made a perfect grape harvest possible.
Vinified in "Lagares", open granite tanks in which the grapes are tamped with their feet. The fermentation was stopped by the addition of brandy to maintain a degree of natural sweetness.
Matured in wooden barrels, in the cellars of Wiese & Krohn in Vila Nova Gaia on the Atlantic coast, under the control of the Porto and Duoro Wine Institute.
