Bairrada - Quinta do Encontro

The Quinta do Encontro project starts in 2000 with a new concept and a different production philosophy.

Its name is due to the proximity of Cruz do Encontro, located in S. Lourenço do Bairro, Anadia.

Quinta do Encontro began production of wine in 1930, in a small cellar in Paredes do Bairro.

In 2000 the then owner João Paulo Almeida Seabra was looking for a partner and started with Dao Sul - who had already gained a lot of fame in Portugal and abroad - the project Bairrada Sul. It meant a reorganization of the 10 hectares of vineyards, and the restructuring of the entire property.

In 2005, the construction of the futuristic cylindrical wine cellar, annex reception room, wine house and restaurant was completed; A must to visit for any wine lover.

Grape varieties

Red : Baga 60%, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Pinheira, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tinta Roriz and Castelão.

White: Bical, Maria Gomes, Arinto and Chardonnay
