An accessible wine with a very fresh and elegant aroma of berries and black cherries balanced with seductive nuances of licorice, and some nuances of the barrel. Full in the mouth, firm tannins, a soft texture and a very long aftertaste.
Food pairing
The wine fits perfectly with cold meats, cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine.
Grapes: 30% Tinta Roriz, 30% Touriga Franca, 40% Touriga Nacional
Grapes were vinified in Quinta das Marvalhas in Almendra in the heart of the Douro Superior. We used the three grape varieties to combine the firm tannins of Tinta Roriz, the notes of cistus and soft tannins of Touriga Franca and the aromas of black and wild fruit with very pronounced floral and fresh notes of Touriga Nacional. Aged 8 months in casks, 50% in stainless steel and 50% in American and French oak barrels.
