Ruby red in color. A red wine with an aroma of black fruit, spices, red fruit, balsamic and light vegetal notes. Dry on the palate, medium acidity, rough tannins, medium alcohol content, medium body, medium intensity, blackberry, plum, cherry, light vanilla followed by a complex long finish.

A Douro classic with high storage potential

 

Quinta das Tecedeiras is situated in the heart of the Douro port wine region, formerly a nunnery, now it belongs to wine enthusiasts Marcelo Lima and Tony Smith 

  

Food Pairing 

This wine tastes excellent with fine red meat, roast beef and grilled meat.

 

Grapes: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz & Touriga Nacional

The grapes were destemmed, then foot-pressed in granite lagares, fermented in stainless steel and new French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 19 months in French oak barrels. Before the wine was put on the market, the wine rested for 1 year in the bottle.

 

Store & Serve 

Serve at 16°-18°C. Can be drunk till  10 years after harvest year
