A refined ruby-colored red wine with an aroma of minerals, figs, blue fruit, black cherries and dates. On the palate, medium bodied, fruity, with soft, smooth tannins and a stylish aftertaste of medium length.
Located in Azeitão, near Setubal. Quinta de Camarate was founded by António Soares Franco Jr. bought in 1914, and is now owned by the brothers Antonio and Domingos Soares Franco. This farm has an area of 120ha, 39 of which are planted with vines. The remaining part is used for the grazing sheep, known for the famous Azeitão cheese. The vineyards of Quinta de Camarate are planted in a soil consisting of clay and limestone, situated at the foot of Arrábida.
