Produced from the Espadeiro variety, this wine defines a new concept rosé. The red fruit and berries aromas, blended with the frshness and lightness only possible in a Vinho Verde, make this a very special rosé. Clear and bright framboise colour rosé wine with a fresh and young aroma of strawberries and raspberries crushed into currant with generous lime drops. Nicely structure and a good balance between the alcohol and acidity. The light fizz enhances the wine freshness.
Food pairing
This is a great wine to enjoy as an aperitif. With fish dishes, salads & white meat dishes. Pairs very well too with Japanese food or chicken piri-piri.
Grapes: Touriga Nacional 65%, Espadeiro 35%
Hand picked grapes at short distance from winery. Immediately destemmed and crushed to capture fresh aromas. Initial skin fermentation for colour improvement.
Espadeiro is a red Portuguese wine grape planted primarily in the Minho region for making Vinho Verde. It is also grown across the border, in Galicia (Spain)
