The color is deep, with a beautiful purple-red hue. Complex and intense aroma, with notes of black fruit, light rock rose blossom and spices such as white pepper, nutmeg and cloves. On the palate it is elegant, smooth and silky in texture, highly concentrated, luscious, very refined, deep and three-dimensional. Nice balance between firm texture, moderate acidity and intense structure. Very long, intense, very precise finish, with a great aromatic and physical persistence. Only 5.000 bottles produced

Pairs beautifully with hard cured cheeses, fatty fish, Asian style food, poultry, pork and veal
Grapes: Tinta Amarela (35%) & field blend of 100 year old vines
Fermentation takes place in wooden barrels, for five or six days, under controlled temperature, with a further four days of prolonged maceration. 12 months in new French oak barrels followed by 6 months in the bottle
