The wine company Adega do Salvador is a family project of the Mota family. They continue the legacy of one of the pioneers of the region, Antonio de Lago Cerqueira. He started in the cellars of Casa da Calçada in 1927 with the production of Vinho Verde. The family-run wine company is hypermodern and lies at the 40 hectares of vineyards in the sub-district of Amarante. This is one of 9 districts, all within the statutory Vinho Verde area.
Light golden colour and crystal clean nose hints towards warmer climes, a bit of peach and honey. On the tongue, an initial grapefruit tang which, if left undisturbed for a bit, gives the sensation of a little pétillance and a fresh finish that never seems to go away. An excellent, just off-dry wine
