A garnet colored red wine with a good intensity. Very complex aroma in different layers of black & red fruit, such as cherries, blackberries, strawberries and berries, herbs, some tobacco & liquorice. Clove, black pepper and chocolate appear in the next layer. A medium body wine, with fine tannins and very balanced acidity. On the palate an explosion of aromas reminiscent of red & black berries. Long intense, tasty and fresh aftertaste. Tasty Portuguese!
Quinta da Boavista is one of the region's most iconic wine farms. It was part of the first demarcation of the Douro region as recorded by the Marquis of Pombal, one of the most famous personalities in the history of the Douro and port wines, in 1757. The wines of this quinta come from 40 hectares of very old vines and are grown on biological principles, able to produce intense, harmonious and very complex wines
