This is a great vintage port to try for anyone interested in the specificity and individuality afforded by a single vineyard, vintage port wine.
Powerfully rich and refined, with plenty of grip behind the lip-smacking flavors of kirsch, dark plum, chocolate and boysenberry. Shows excellent balance as well, with a silky texture and a long, spicy finish that's accented with hints of licorice and cedar. Best from 2014 through 2034. Wine Spectator 2012
Food-Pairing
This port is delicious with foie gras, certain cheeses (Gorgonzola, Roquefort), as an aperitif or as dessert wine, and is a fabulous accompaniment to chocolate desserts such as flourless chocolate cake or dark chocolate truffles, but can also be enjoyed on its own - it is an experience in itself.
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca
