Grapes : 100% Castelão
Reserva das Pedras wines are born from old vines planted in the Charneca* area. With a mission to respect our history, these iconic vines are planted in soil over which the Tagus River has already passed, leaving its mark in the form of rolled pebbles, which gave rise to these wines.
In the cellar, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. This Reserva das Pedras matures 50% in French oak barrels for 12 months. Before bottling, the wine is stabilized and filtered.
*In the south of the Tejo River, is the Charneca zone. e Charneca is a dry, flat area marked by poor, sandy soils that force the vines to struggle, and in turn produce more complex fruit. In this zone, higher temperatures compel the grapes to mature faster than in the rest of the Tejo region.
