Vallegre, Vinhos do Porto S.A is a family business now in its fifth generation. The headquarters are located in Quinta da Vista Alegre, an estate located on the right bank of the Douro (between Pinhão and Covas do Douro) that has been part of the Cunha Barros family heritage since 1973.
Quinta Vista Alegre has an area of ​​55 hectares of vineyards and is located on the right bank of the Douro in Pinhão. The best vines in the region can be found here: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Barroca, Sousão and Tinto Cão.
 
Quinta de Valle Longo & quinta la Lameira are two other quintas that are also part of Vista Alegre. Quinta Valle Longo is responsible for excellent DOC Douro wines and ports.

The name Vallegre is the combination of the names of the two main properties, the quintas 'Valle Longo' and 'Vista Alegre'. Today Vallegre is a modern and dynamic company that has the most sophisticated equipment in its vinification centre, but can also rely on the experience that has been built up over generations. An impressive series of awards at international competitions and tastings confirms that it produces ports of the highest quality.
