Justino's, today owned by the French company La Martiniquaise, was founded in Madeira in 1870 and is one of the oldest producers and exporters of Madeira wine with an excellent position in the market, thanks to its high quality wines. Produced from only the best grapes and in strict accordance with traditional methods. The grapes come from all corners of the island, with only the best areas and vineyards chosen for the different grape varieties. A new business, located in Cancela, Santa Cruz, was built in 1995. They have a total stock of 5.3 million liters, which is probably the largest amount in stock on the island for a wine producer.

It is an international company known for its excellence, focused on presenting premium products to its customers, without losing sight of the history, tradition and authenticity that have always characterized their wines. In every glass of wine are hundreds of years of ancestral wisdom, of knowing how to do for past generations, of stories and experiences of people, families and human problems. With each new wine they try to capture the soul and heart of each of these people and bring it to the customer in unique wines, reflecting the different terroirs of the island of Madeira. Thus, they pursue their vision to remain the leaders in the Madeira wine market and increase their dominance in the premium sector.

All their wines are aged on the traditional estufagem method where oxygen and heat enrich the wines, with the exception of the vintage wines that mature via the canteiro system.

The winemaker at the helm is Juan Teixeira. Justino's Madeira wines used to be known as Vinhos Justino Henriques.

The robustness and longevity of Madeira wine, even once opened, allows for endless experimentation and goes with just about any meal.
