Douro - Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora Do Carmo

The winery was founded in 1992 and is located in Covas do Douro, this extensive Quinta is located in the beautiful region Cima Corgo in the Douro. The category A vineyards cover 85 hectares, with excellent exposure to the sun, on hills on the north bank of the Douro. It is owned by the Amorim family (the well-known cork company).

The success of these wines is based on the passion of Luisa, who not only makes wine at her own winery, but travels to learn other techniques on the largest vineyards in the world. Her quality standards are very high, both in the vineyard and in the winery. The wines of this house are also regularly praised. The winery offers different types of bottled wines such as porto, moscatel, red & white wines, and other excellent wines made from grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, trincadeira, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão and Souzão.
