To explain the difference between Ruby and Tawny Port, Niepoort created the twins 'Ruby Dum & Tawny Dee' after the story of Alice in Wonderland. Both start as fortified wine, separate their ways and each receive a different upbringing with a different appearance and a different smell and taste as a result
This tawny has a delicate aroma of nuts and a hint of dried fruit. On the palate the taste of young fruit, very well balanced and a tempting character in the long aftertaste

Delicious with brie, nuts and raisins, or Gruyère, Manchego and mature farmhouse cheese
Grapes : Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Cao, Tinta Amarela, Sousão
Relatively short ripening of 3 years in large wooden barrels

Serve at 12-14°C
Remains drinkable up to a few months (4 to 6 months) after opening, provided you always close the bottle with the original stopper and keep it at a constant temperature of about 12 degrees
