Barbeito Madeira 30 years Dueto Verdelho
A fantastic blend with elegance and finesse in the aroma, but with a solid structure, which was only achieved through a very careful selection of wines. The structure of the blend was made from three Verdelhos, two from 1993 and one from 1996, aged in the Barbeito warehouses. The greater acidity and aromatic elegance were achieved by a Verdelho from 1991 from the MEF warehouses near the beach of Seixal. Finally, a Verdelho from the late 19th century was added to consolidate the structure and give a distinctive finish to this blend. Bottled in April 2024. Blend created by Susana Esteban and Ricardo Diogo

Store & Serve
Always store Madeira wine upright.
The acids of Madeira are so strong that they will attack the cork if the bottle is stored lying down
Serving: 14°C
Madeira is a wine that matured for several years in an oxidative environment, and then enters a reductive environment during bottling. It is therefore useful to open the bottles a few hours in advance. The bottles can then be stored almost indefinitely, as the air no longer has any effect on Madeira wines. It is even the case that the wine tastes better after months - if there is any left - than when the bottle was opened
