Justino's Madeira Terrantez Old Reserve 30 Years old
This Madeira has a pure and brilliant pale amber color. An intriguing, elegant and complex aroma of musk and wood with delicate notions of honey. The old Reserve, more than 30 years old Madeira Terrantez, is semi-dry with flavors of nuts and minerals. The aftertaste is refreshing.
Justino's Madeira has launched on the 30rd of October 2025 six new fortified wines, Madeira, all in vintages. These are a set of single-varietal blends, aged between 20 and over 50 years. The Sercial grape variety (dry) gave rise to the launch of Justino's Madeira +50 years. This wine, to be enjoyed on its own or served as a digestif, is ideal with tobacco or cigars. Another single-varietal blend was made from Malmsey grapes (sweet). It is a 50-year-old wine. Recommended for contemplation, but also suitable for serving with desserts or chocolate. A blend of batches made from the black grape variety resulted in a semi-sweet wine. It is a blend that has been aged for an average of 40 years and is also recommended to accompany desserts. Another launch is Justino's Madeira Terrantez 30 years, a set of batches from one of the rarest grape varieties in Madeira wine, which in this case gave rise to a semi-dry wine.
Food-pairing
Walnut bread with manchego cheese and Spanish ham such as jamon de Serrano. Roasted duck with dark chocolate gravy. In terms of pairing suggestions, the company recommends this wine with cigars, truffles, mushrooms, or curry.
Grapes: Terrantez 100%
Terrantez vines, one of the oldest grape varieties in the world, produce very low yields of high quality grapes and wines. There is little incentive in Madeira to plant new Terrantez vines so that the wines have become a rare commodity.
