Quinta do Crasto Finest Reserve Ruby
Port became popular in England when the war with France reduced supplies of French wine, while the Methuen Treaty of 1703 (a military and commercial treaty between England and Portugal) strengthened even more the port wine trade.
This is a very elegant, fresh port wine which provides excellent value for money for a Ruby Port. Lifted and complex bouquet of ripe red wild berries, figs and a slight touch of wild indigenous herbs. The palate shows excellent harmony and complexity, a fine presence and great balance between fresh wild berries, firm tannins, well balanced acidity and a long and elegant finish.
