Quinta do Cadão PM Red Wine 2017 Vinhas Velhas
Bright and brilliant intense ruby red color, with excellent aromatic complexity in which the wild fruits of the Douro are mixed with rockrose in harmony with notes of toast and chocolate. Structured and dense but very elegant, making the set very pleasant, with ripe tannins and a velvety, exuberant finish of excellent persistence.

Grapes: Coming from vineyards over 75 years old and a variety of more than 37 typical grape varieties of DOURO
Soil: Precambrian and antedeluvim schists, with narrow granite seams
Manual harvesting and picking only those fully ripe and with the careful selection of the bunches. Pelicular maceration and alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel cubes. Post-fermentation maceration followed by malolactic fermentation.
Vinification with every care necessary to fully preserving its uniqueness and aged for eighteen months in French oak casks before a further six months in the bottle. In order to preserve the quality of this wine intact, there is no cold stabilisation process and, hence, as a natural product, the wine may contain sediment with age.
