Monte Cascas Colares Ramisco Tinto 2011
Vegetable aroma with notes of earth and withered roses. The taste is elegant, dry, and sober with earth and mineral notes. All elements are balanced in the long, long finish. This wine is one of the TOP 50 best Portuguese wines and a must-have wine for Ramisco wine fans
Food pairing
The wine goes perfectly with Moussaka, black bean stew and juicy grilled meat dishes
Grapes: 100% Ramisco
Special grape variety that is grown on pure sandy soil with deep clay underneath. It does not need to be grafted onto the rootstock because the grape lice in the sand cannot survive. Starts to become rare.
The small, thick-skinned grapes provide a wine with a black currant aroma that contains a lot of tannin in childhood and a high acidity. Long storage is required. This red grape is only used for the Colares wines
