Just like in previous years, it is a brilliant entry-level wine and the perfect introduction to the wine world of Niepoort! However, the wine also has the complexity, the mineral notes and the great depth of the classic Douro wines. The nose is fine with floral nuances and a pinch of pepper. In the mouth, the wine shows its intensity very intensively: a lot of freshness, soft integrated tannins and the most exciting fruit flavors with a balanced acid! The label tells us in 12 drawings by Frédéric Janin, a funny story of two dogs and their wayward look at the world of their "masters". Grapes: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela
After the selection, the fruit is 100% destemmed. Fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures for approximately one week. A portion of the wine was matured in French oak barriques whereas the rest of the wine remained in stainless steel for about 6 months.
