This wine comes from the northwest of Portugal, from a region called Vino Verde. This region is known for its light and spicy wines, in fact Verde translates to green. The area is just off the coast, and as a result the vines are flooded with lots of rain. The Atlantic Ocean literally blows into the vineyards and because it is considered a humid area, the vines are guided in height, allowing maximum ventilation for drying
