Quinta da Pellada is today unanimously regarded as the greatest reference in the Dão region. Together with his daughter, Maria, Alvaro Castro - one of Portugal's most respected winemakers - cultivates beautiful native grape varieties with great care and respect. with which he manages to make elegant, fine and balanced wines.
The Dão elegance is fully expressed here. The old vines provide the basis, a few years of bottle maturation do the rest.
Food-Pairing
Pairs very well with roast game, particularly duck or goose. Mushrooms and other umami-laden dishes are also fine pairs.

Fermentation in open fermentation tanks with long maceration, then aged for 18 months.
The Quinta de Saes Altitude Red 2018 wine comes from the oldest portion of the Quinta de Saes vineyard, where 28 different grape varieties were identified, randomly planted together - field blend, providing a unique and complex experience.
