The wine has a citrine yellow colour with greenish nuances. On the nose, it has a great aromatic intensity where notes of pear, pineapple, and citrus are apparent, along with floral nuances and mineral notes. On the palate, it is very fresh and the fruity notes stand out again, delivering a harmonious, elegant, and balanced wine that enhances the Dão terroir.
Jardim de Granito is produced on the slopes of Silgueiros, in soils of granite origin, where the vineyard is surrounded by woods of oaks and pine trees. The wines are designed to express the elegance and the gastronomic aptitude of the region. Maria Rita, project manager, graduated in Agronomic Engineering at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia in Lisbon, did several internships in well-known houses such as 'Esporão' and 'Sogrape'. Then a master's degree in wine marketing at the University of Paris.

The harvest was carried out manually during the second week of September, using 20 kg boxes. After pressing the whole grapes, the must was subjected to static decantation at low temperature for 24 hours. It then passed into a stainless steel tank where the wine fermented and aged.

Rita started to plan Jardins de Granito winery 6 years ago after a long journey around the wine world, together with Vasco her husband, who as an oncologist researched the benefits and possible uses in health as a by-product of wine. The team is completed by Mafalda Magalhães who is a highly respected internationally renowned winemaker.
The Jardins do Granito is a collection where she wants to give you the 3rd dimension of a sensorial experience walking through Dão unique terroir. These wines reflect a lush garden filled with redcurrants, strawberries & eucalyptus. When you taste them you are transported to this beautiful mountain wine region.
Dão terroir is marked by the constant presence of granite. Respecting the wine tradition of Dão, “Jardim de Granito” is produced on the slopes of Silgueiros, in soils of granite origin, where the vineyard is surrounded by oak trees & pine forests.
