Ruby red wine, medium concentration, nose with red fruits, some notes of black pepper, leather, cigarette box. In the mouth it starts structured but tense, fresh and tannic. It is an Alentejo that already existed and at the same time an Alentejo that is destined to return.
Tinto do Pote de Barro is a project from the Signature series, which tries to create the profile of an old "Talha wine" using a blend of old vines and the old amphora vinification process. It could not be called "Talha" because the committee did not allow it and it could not even be "Alentejano" because the committee did not like it. Thus our project becomes a worthy and humble Pote de Barro,

Tinto do Pote de Barro is a red wine from a 35-year-old field blend from the Alentejo region. The winemaking process is unique - fermented in a clay pot and aged for 30 days in amphora, giving the wine a distinct character. This wine promises a rich and robust experience.
The grapes are cultivated under a certified organic production system, being rainfed, without irrigation. Our vineyards are also all
certified within the Alentejo sustainability program. Night manual harvest in 350kg pallets. Selection in sorting table. Grapes fall into the vats without pumps. Spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in old Alentejo amphoras dating from 1906 to 1945. Cuvaison for 2 months. Aged in clay amphora for 90 days.
